How to Advertise
If you are a vendor of test products and services you can benefit from the
traffic that we generate by offering visitors to search our BestTest Directory -
The Best Test place on the Internet SM. There are a number of ways
you can promote your products and services with us:
Web Site Traffic
BestTest received more than 2,000,000 hits in the past 12 months. Our
October 2004 figures
indicate that our site receives more than 18,000 visitors each month of which
more than 7,000 are unique
visitors. Based on these figures there are approximately 230 test
professionals viewing our web site each day. While these numbers may be a great deal less
than in other disciplines, you should consider that there are only 60,000 to
100,000 test professionals in the world. So, it is a fair estimation to
project that one of every 10 test professional views our web site each month.
Additionally, registered visitors can subscribe to The BestTest Newsletter,
an eNewsletter published twice each month. Currently, we have
approximately 6,000 subscribers.
Since our web site at www.BestTest.com
is geared to provide test related information through books, courses, consulting
and test engineering software, we can expect the trend of attracting new
visitors to continue.

FREE Listings
Any registered member can add listings to the BestTest Directory, FREE.
(Registration is also FREE, so if you haven't done so yet, you
should.) We accept the following FREE listings:
- You can list your company or organization, along with a short description
into the Test
Vendor Directory. Check your listings periodically, and update at
will.
- Specify and describe your products and/or services in the Products
and Services Directory.
- List an upcoming event
of general interest to the test community, such as conferences, courses,
exhibits, etc.
- List information about published articles,
news releases, white papers
and publications that are of interest to the
test community. Listings that are accepted may also be linked in our next
issue of The BestTest Newsletter, distributed to our readers.
- Provide your
definitions
of terms relating to test and receive proper recognition and a link to your
web site.
- Job listings for temporary and permanent assignments. This FREE
service is also available to those seeking jobs.
To enter a FREE listing, go to the appropriate section of The BestTest
Directory and follow instructions for Adding or Modifying an existing
listing. Don't be surprised if someone has already placed your company or
even one of your
products into our directory. This is why we ask that you search before you
add a listing. If you find such a listing, simply review it and you can make modifications on line.
A.T.E. Solutions, Inc. will review all listings before they are actually
posted, and may decide to delay or deny placing the listing for any reason or
for no reason, without notification. If your company has a designated Test
Vendor Contact, a notice of additions and modifications will be emailed to
her/him for review.

Embedded Image and Extended Description Promotions
The most important reason for being listed is so that searchers looking for
what you are offering can find you. Searchers can find your FREE listing in
any one of the directories, but you can gain an advantage over your
competitors with these low priced promotions - only
$99 per year per promotion!
As The BestTest Directory data base grows you will find that your
listings may be buried among many others that respond to the same search
criteria.
Here is how Embedded Image and Extended Description
Promotions can help you:
Test
Vendor Directory Listings
- If searchers know your company name they can readily find your listing through an alphabetical
search or through a text search. But if they don't, you can enhance
your chances that your company listing will be found before your
competitors'.
- By adding an image or a logo to
your listing, not only will you give a better image of your company, but
instead of an alphabetical ordering of results, with this Embedded
Image promotion your company will be brought towards the top
and listed ahead of those
without an Embedded Image promotion.
- Searchers may find you by looking for a particular text (e.g.
microwave). If that word appears in your company description they will
find you. To increase your chances of being found, you can increase
the text in your description through the Extended Description
promotion.
- With
the Extended Description promotion, you can add up to 1,250
characters, so you will increase the probability of being found 5 times over
others who only use the default 250 characters.
- You can combine the benefits of both the Extended Image and
the Extended Description promotions.
- With both promotions, you are more
likely to be found as a result of a text search AND your
listing will be closer to the top of the results
found.
Products
and Services Directory
- This works similar to The Test Vendor Directory Listings described above.
- If searchers know the type of products and services your company makes
they can readily find your listing by selecting the right categories within
the Test Products and Services Directory or through a text search. But
if they don't, you can enhance your chances that your product listing will
be found before your competitors'.
- By adding a logo or a picture to
your product listing, not only will you give a better image of your product, but
instead of an alphabetical ordering of results, with this Embedded
Image promotion your product or service will be listed ahead of those
without an Embedded Image promotion.
- Searchers may find your product by looking for a particular text (e.g.
microwave). If that word appears in your product description they will
find it. To increase your chances of having your listing found, you
can increase the text in your description through the Extended
Description promotion.

- By adding an image or a logo to
your Events listing, not only will you give a better image of your event, but
instead of a date ordering of results, with this Embedded Image promotion
your event will be listed on top ahead of those without an Embedded
Image promotion.
- Searchers may find your Event by looking for a particular text (e.g.
microwave). If that word appears in your event description they will
find it. To increase your chances of having your listing found, you
can increase the text in your description through the Extended
Description promotion.
- With
the Extended Description promotion, you can add up to 1,250
characters, so you will increase the probability of being found 5 times over
others who only use the default 250 characters.
- You can combine the benefits of both the Extended Image and
the Extended Description promotions.

You can add any of these features, right now. There is no need to wait
to get a purchase order. Simply use the ADD LISTING
or the MODIFY buttons of the
desired Directories and
you will be prompted to upload an Embedded Image (which should be
resident on your computer). The software will automatically resize your
graphics, link it, and will invoice you for each promotion. Similarly,
both the ADD LISTING and the MODIFY buttons in each of
the Directories will
now allow you to add your Extended Description whenever you
add or modify a listing. Your promotions are valid for one
year. Upon our approval of your promotions, your listings will immediately
transform into a powerful advertisement - for 27 cents per day!

We have a limited number of Banner Ads available on the right hand margin of
our web site. These Banner Ads will show up with the Menu Frame at every
page on our web site, so we will take you with us wherever the visitor goes.

Newsletter Promotions
In October 2003 we reintroduced The BestTest Newsletter in an internet-based
format. Since that time we have been distributing The BestTest Newsletter
twice each month to those in our
mailing list who wish to receive it.
Presently we send each issue to about 6,000 recipients. For a list of past
issues, see The BestTest
Newletter Index. Each issue focuses on
a featured product or service.
The Index also shows what upcoming issues will focus on. Select an issue of
interest. If the feature is that of one of your
products or services, you may want to include a one-time ad. The product or service
featured will not repeat for at least one year, so you will be able to enjoy the
benefits of visitation to that issue for at least one year. A banner ad in
each issue of The BestTest Newsletter, therefore, is really a one-year ad. There are a number of ways you can have your company and products
and services take advantage of the wide distribution of The BestTest Newsletter:
- You can Sponsor a Newsletter and have your
linked company logo or other image placed in the prestigious upper left hand
corner of The BestTest Newsletter. Write

Classified Ads
We will soon introduce a mechanism by which you can sell used test equipment
or find one. You will be able to look for a Users Manual or find someone
knowledgeable about an old piece of software. You will be able to post an
inexpensive classified ad with up to 250 characters for practically anything
that the test community might have, for as low as $25 for
up to 3 months. Write
